VISIT TO CHINA FOR SCHOOLS COMPETITIONS WINNERS

The two Rewi Alley secondary school prize winners will experience the trip of a lifetime visiting over a ten day period two regions in China closely connected to Rewi Alley – Beijing and Gansu Province.

Both winners along with their guardians will experience free travel over ten days visiting Beijing to visit where Rewi Alley lived for many of his years, see places connected to him and have time to see some of the unique sights around the capital of China including the Great Wall and the Forbidden City.

Then their visit will take them to Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province which straddles the Silk Road, and visit Lanzhou City University which incorporates the Bailie School founded by Rewi Alley. A visit to Alley square, his amazing one hundred metre long memorial, and the University’s museum which records many of Rewi Alley’s achievements will be part of a memorable experience.
